The hills attract many people who enjoy trekking and nature walks.One popular trail is to the San Miguel Hermitage located at the top of the hill of Calahonda. There is a popular Tennis club ( Club del Sol) and gymnasium. Additionally there is a popular 9 hole golf course called La Siesta Golf Club, located in the heart of the urbanization.
Calahonda has been designed with natural beauty. There are a couple of local parks and a garden centre.
The main avenue is called Avda. De España. Here you will find local restaurants offering an international flavor, such as Indian, Spanish, Chinese, Swiss,English, Irish. Further down towards the Church of San Miguel, are many more restaurants, shops and supermarkets.
